Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Whiztools ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website and tools at whiztools.app (the "Service"). We are committed to a privacy-first approach: our tools are designed so that your files never leave your device.
1. Your files stay on your device
Every tool on Whiztools processes your files entirely inside your web browser. Your images, PDFs and other documents are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to our servers or any third party. When you close or refresh the page, the files are gone from memory. We have no ability to access, view, or recover the files you process.
2. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information from the files you process. We may collect limited, non-identifying information automatically:
- Usage & log data — such as pages visited, referring pages, browser type, device type, approximate region, and timestamps. This is aggregated and used to understand how the Service is used and to keep it secure.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see the "Cookies" and "Advertising" sections below.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use cookies to remember your preferences (such as light/dark theme and your cookie choices) and, with your consent, for analytics and advertising. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which helps us keep Whiztools free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our Service and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- If you decline non-essential cookies in our banner, we instruct Google to serve non-personalized ads where required.
For more information, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
5. Analytics
We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Service so we can improve it. These tools measure aggregate traffic — such as pages visited, referring sites, approximate region, and device type — without storing cookies or personal identifiers on your device, and they never access the contents of your files. Because no cookies or personal identifiers are used, this data does not identify you personally and does not require consent.
6. Legal bases & your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process non-essential data (personalized advertising) on the basis of your consent, and essential functionality plus cookieless analytics on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Your rights (California / CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data retention & security
Because file processing happens on your device, we do not retain your files. Aggregated log and analytics data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we handle.
10. Third-party links
Our Service may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
