Free PDF Tools

Free, private, browser-based PDF tools: merge, split, reorder, protect with password, convert to JPG and more. Your files never leave your device.

PDF jobs without uploading your documents

PDFs are how contracts, tax forms, scanned IDs, lecture notes, and client proposals travel. Most free “online PDF” sites ask you to upload those files to a server. Whiztools PDF tools instead open and edit the document inside your browser, so a merger, split, compression pass, signature, or password lock never leaves your device.

That design matters most when the file contains names, addresses, account numbers, signatures, or confidential business terms — situations where “deleted after one hour” is still a weaker promise than “never uploaded.”

A practical private PDF workflow

A common chain looks like this: Merge PDF to combine attachments into one packet, Split or Extract Pages to send only what the recipient needs, Compress PDF to clear email size limits, Sign PDF for a simple electronic signature, then Protect PDF with a password before you hit send. You can also convert pages to JPG/PNG for previews, add page numbers or a watermark, or pull selectable text when the PDF is text-based (and use OCR when it is a scan).

  • Combine several invoices or statements into one attachment with Merge PDF
  • Remove blank or sensitive pages before sharing with Delete / Extract Pages
  • Shrink scanned packets with Compress PDF when email rejects the file
  • Add a drawn or typed signature locally with Sign PDF

Limits of browser-based PDF editing

Client-side tools are excellent for everyday document chores. Extremely large archives (hundreds of megabytes of high-resolution scans) may tax phone memory, and some advanced publishing features (complex interactive forms, specialized print production) still belong in desktop software. For the majority of merge, split, compress, convert, and sign tasks, a private browser tool is enough — and safer for sensitive files than an anonymous upload form.
