Green Screen Video
100% private — runs on your device, never uploaded. Works offline once loaded.
Replace a green or blue screen with anything: an image, another video, a solid colour, or nothing at all — a transparent WebM you can lay over another edit. The key is tuned with two controls that matter: how much of the screen colour to remove, which you raise when the screen is unevenly lit, and how soft the edge should be, which is what makes hair look like hair rather than a cut-out. Colour spill from the screen onto the subject is pulled out automatically. Picture-in-picture green screen, placed over another shot, is also available in the full timeline editor. Nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
My key leaves a green outline — how do I fix it?
Raise "How much to remove" one step, and make sure the edges are set to Soft. The outline is usually screen colour reflected onto the subject; the automatic despill removes most of it, and even lighting on the screen when you film removes the rest.
Can I export with a transparent background?
Yes — choose "Nothing — transparent WebM". The video keeps its alpha channel, so it can be placed over other footage in an editor that supports WebM transparency.
Is my video uploaded?
No — keying runs in your browser.
